Volume 1 & 2: "I never intended to publish a book."

During my first backpacking trip, I carried a small journal and recorded what I saw. I showed it to a friend, who suggested I make a book. So I did, with an exacto knife, glue, and a printer. This was the genesis of Tamio Nikki. The handmade copies I made sold surprisingly well at a local shop, so I decided to have more copies printed in Shanghai.

Volume 1 - India

The first in the series chronicles my first backpacking experience in chaotic India.

Volume 2 - Asia

Sneaking into Tibet, I made it to Mount Kailash and ancient kingdom of Guge.

What is the "Tamio Nikki" series:

I, Tamio, traveled the world with a tiny backpack and a tiny journal. I recorded what I found with surprisingly intricate letters and drawings. "Tamioo Nikki" is an actual-size copy of my art work. I don't know if you can read it, but I hope you enjoy it.
This book is an exact replica of my travel journal.
